To understand the difference between the three scan modes, we must first understand their definitions.

"TO" also called time scan, means stay on the current channel for a while after scanning the signal and then continue scanning.

"CO" also called carrier scan, which means stop scanning after scanning the signal until the signal disappears.

"SE" also called search mode, which means stay on the current channel after scanning the signal.

We can understand as follows:

"TO" also called time scan. After the time scan function is turned on, the walkie-talkie starts to scan according to time. When a signal is scanned in a certain channel after a certain period of time stays on that channel, the next scan is started, and the cycle is repeated. The key point of time scan is time. After the signal is scanned, the next scan is performed in a fixed time period.

"CO" also called carrier scan. After the carrier scan function is turned on, the walkie-talkie starts to scan. When a signal is scanned in a certain channel, it will stay on that channel all the time. Unless the staying channel signal disappears, the next scan will be performed. The key point of the carrier scan is the carrier. After the signal is scanned, the signal shall prevail. If the signal is always there, it will stay on the channel until the signal disappears before starting the next scan.

After the search scan function is turned on, the walkie-talkie starts to scan. When a signal is scanned in a certain channel, it will stay on that channel, regardless of whether the signal of the channel disappears or not. The key point of the search scan is the search. Once the signal is searched, it means the instruction is completed, then the scan will stop, no matter what the situation, the next scan will not be performed.
